Ok, Time to Catch Up

>> Tuesday, November 11, 2008

So the past month I've shot a few photo shoots and I guess it's about time I shared some of the photos. A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing Emily's senior pictures - she was so much fun to shoot cause she was up for anything. I love when people aren't afraid to try things. So here is a few of my favorites. . .

I have a couple other photos shoots that I will be posting soon. In other news, the baby is moving like crazy and last night it hit me that I have like maybe 7 more weeks, I am excited and nervous. I really can't wait to see what she looks like...I don't really think she'll look like the routan baby in my last post!! Also, The Ridge was awesome Sunday night. Chris did great with the lights, it's the best they've ever looked and the band sounded really good and Pastor Bob's message really hit me, and that isn't just token praise!! (inside joke for those of us who attended!) Well I guess that's it for now.

Happenings of the Week

>> Friday, November 7, 2008

Ok, so we had a little scare this week. I was standing in line to vote Tuesday and I felt a little leaking and my back was killing me. I called my doctor and they sent me straight to labor and delivery.... as soon as I heard those words I freaked out and called Chris who met me at the hospital right away. I'm good, no fluid leaking that shouldn't but there were contractions, but after a few hours I was sent home with orders to lay down and rest. The next day I went to the doctor and she cleared me to work cause I sit down, but limit my standing, get lots of rest and drink lots of fluids. This is hard for me cause those of you who know me well know that I'm constantly going... it's like what do I cut out. This is for my daughter though so I will do whatever it takes, if she can just stay in there for 5 more weeks that will be great - I will be 37 weeks by then and that's considered full term. I just want her to be fine. I don't worry all the time, but things go through my head every once in awhile. I know God is protecting me and my family and whatever happens I trust is his plan. I will try not to let my humaness get in the way. Well in good news we've started finishing our upstairs bonus room which is great cause that needs to be done so we can get all the stuff out of the baby's room. I have loved the weather this week, just a little cooler and it would be perfect. The leaves are awesome and holidays are coming it's just a good time of year!

A day like any other. . .

>> Thursday, October 30, 2008

Well today I'm doing much better then yesterday. When things in life don't turn out how they should it's hard, especially when you want to help someone so badly but they don't seem to want it. It's really hard to understand some of the life threatening struggles that happen in this life - how do you keep yourself sain, when you realize there is nothing you can do? I'm trying my best to stay stress-free for the baby's sake if not my own. I did start today off praying and it really did make me feel better, like maybe there is a plan and things that happen will seem minimal one day. Anyway I have been working like crazy, but hopefully for a good cause - to be my own boss one day. I have had 3 photo shoots in the past week and two wedding albums to do, one ended up being over 60 pages. I have a lot to do before next week with revisions, editing pictures and starting a new album! After November I think I will need to slow down a bit cause I'm like due Jan. 1st and I don't want to take on more then I can handle. Oh, did I mention all the stuff above was on top of working my normal job! I am excited that Halloween is tomorrow, I always get so excited but I don't know why. Chris and I are having some friends over to hang out and pass out candy to the trick or treators!! Plus, my nephew, Elijah is coming over to trick or treat - he is 4 and he is definately Batman this year! Don't call him Elijah while he is in costume he won't answer you. Well for those of you who read this please keep my sister in your prayers, her life has been one hard road and we are trying to pick up the pieces.

Weekend Plans!!

>> Friday, October 3, 2008

Well, first of all this weekend is going to be great because the weather is going to be awesome!! Sunny, high of maybe 80, but cool in the mornings and evenings! Tonight we are going to see Nick and Nora's Infinate Playlist, it's the only movie that I've really wanted to see in quite a while. Tomorrow we are taking Elijah to the Children's Discovery Museum in Chattanooga, I think he will have fun, it's all interactive, I just hope I don't get too tired. I can't believe next week I will be 7mths. pregnant! It's going by pretty fast now, and sometimes I panic because we really haven't done anything yet to get prepared. But, I'm sure it will all work out. Well I guess that's all for now!

Baby Update!

>> Friday, September 26, 2008

Well, I went to the doctor's yesterday to do my glucose test, where they see if I have diabetes. This was no fun, though the stuff that you drink wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, it was the nausea I had for the hour I had to wait before they took my blood. But, so far everything is good, her heart rate is 145 and she was kicking the doctor like crazy, I think she will be hyper, she is always moving! Also this is kind of funny, we thought I might have been leaking fluid so I had to have an exam and everything was fine the doctor said that the baby must have kicked my bladder and I peed on myself a little bit, glad everything was ok, but now I'm gonn be peeing on myself...good to know! Everytime we get to hear her heartbeat I get so excited and think wow this is real plus I love feeling her move around in my stomach it is so cool!

New Pictures!

>> Tuesday, September 23, 2008

So a couple of weeks ago I got to shoot my good friends Stephanie and Mike's baby girl Delia's 9 month pictures. She is so funny, it may take a lot to get a smile out of her, but her expressions are priceless. Not to mention that she loves to eat leaves, dirt, sticks or whatever is laying around. I could hardly take the pictures because I was laughing so hard. Oh and miss Delia is a trooper, some of the photos she is in a sweater and a hat and it's like 80 or 85 degrees outside. We tried to shoot early but it got hot fast. Steph and Mike she so cute...everyone else enjoy the pictures!
