It's Been Forever

So, ok I'm not good at keeping up with this thing. Mostly because I can not think of anything about me that I could write that people would want to read. My day to day in Clinton, TN. It's really mind-blowing. I did have something amazing happen this week - Andrew Bird, Bijou Theater, Knoxville, TN - last Monday night. He is so incredible, he plays violin like normal and then like a guitar plus he plays guitar and his voice is amazing. He also has a great drummer/Fender Rhodes player (Martin Luther King Dosh) and bass player (so I don't remember his name not as memorable as the rest he should probably change it to something a little more catchy) Anyway, so what mesmorized me was this thing that looked like an old phonograph player exept it was two sided and Andrew's violin sound came out of it, but just to the side was a microphone and he would hit a switch on the phonograph thing and it would spin and the microphone would pick up the reverb and made the coolest sound ever. Plus they would loop stuff and then play over it and all this music was coming from these 3 human beings and it was incredible. I was on the 7th row, great seats and wonderful show!!! Today I'm in a thoughtful mood, contemplating life and such - what is my purpose here? I guess that's a life long question, but I'm just trying to figure out where my life is going right now. I feel like I have all this creative energy inside of me but no outlet for it. I've got to learn how to play that keyboard! I haven't completed a painting in almost 3 years, I did start one a few weeks ago - I just haven't been able to finish one in so long. I think I have 6 that are started. Well I guess I'll go figure out all this tonight and tomorrow I'll have all the answers!!

My mood is thoughtful.
